Who Knew What?
The
second anniversary of the day that shook the lives of many as well
as the world is looming. It’s a day that I guess, no one wants to
see come around each year, but unfortunately it does. Where memories
hurt more than any other time of the year.
September
11th each year is a day that I wish I had stayed in my
office lobby just one more second, a day when many loved ones wish
their family member had not gone to work. But now as I listen to
more stories of a breakdown in communication, evidence cover up and
missing pages, I have to wonder what is going on?
As
a child growing up and schooling in the
UK
I
studied American history. This took on new depths after my first
visit here at 14 years old. I was hooked by the greatness of the
USA
and
wanted to know more; what shaped it, how the character of this
country evolved.
The
more I delved into its past the more I was intrigued. But one thing
always came to my mind. There always seemed to be too much
information classified as secret in the interests of ‘national
security’. Almost as if those that controlled the information were
too scared to let the people know. That’s not a bad thing, but
when I read more and more adverse media about a possible cover up of
events leading to September 11th I have to wonder why?
Who is really scared, those that hold the information or those that
read it?
Recently
the ‘official’ report of the events of September 11th
has been published, I am yet to read it, but I shall. What disturbs
me are the 28 pages that have been blanked out, once again, in the
interest of ‘national security’! Why? Who is hiding what?
Has
the government not realized that three thousand families have
someone missing at the dinner table? Injured people carry the scars
of that day? These people will live the nightmare of the attacks
forever. Don’t we all have a right to know about everything, no
matter how scary it could be? Why are the American people being
treated like children?
This
is red herring from the present administration. Another way to pull
the wool over all our eyes! I ask why? What are they trying to
cover? Who are they trying to protect? What are they trying to
protect? What is the motive for this?
Terrorists
or pilots of the downed planes were all of Saudi origin, and the
missing 28 pages are all about
Saudi
Arabia
. Now
why is that? What is our government trying to protect?
We
need to know what is on the pages, what the administration knows.
Why the blood of three thousand people means nothing. Too many
questions are left unanswered. Our government is telling the
American people that by deleting the context of these pages that
they simply don’t care about their loss. Disgusting!
Did
the government or one of its agencies know that something would
happen? Each and every person has the right to know and ask these
questions. In my opinion; the government and its agencies failed in
their duty of care for the citizens of
New York
,
Washington
DC and
the passengers on the aircraft.
If
they did have ‘information’ they did not act upon it properly. I
do not feel they knew the attacks would happen on the day, at the
time and location they did, but I feel that they did know something.
And when you know something, you need to act and act fast.
The
FBI parades itself as the foremost law enforcement agency in the
world. If so why did the right information not get to the right
people? Once again this was a comedy of errors. Errors that cost too
much! Could September 11th have been avoided? I don’t
know, what do you think?
Ask
yourself one question; how different would the world be today if we
all went to work and nothing happened on
September
11th 2001
?
