About Us:
This
website was founded by myself, Dennis Sirjuesingh. It went 'live' on
April 1st 2003 and one year later it has been visited by over one
million people from every corner of the world imaginable.
September
11th 2001 was a day that shook the world. It also shook the foundation
of three thousand families who lost a loved one and countless more
people who sustained injury; from the minor to total disablement. I
was one of those unfortunate people who now have what is a called a
'total partial disability'.
While
searching for assistance, news and support on the web I found
nothing focused to the injured people of that day. No one can
actually ever know the exact amount of people that were hurt; the
Victims Compensation Fund put the figure at around 5000 from those
that applied.
But
injury can be in the form of a scratch to those who has faced and dealt
with horrific pain and suffering.
Because
I could find little or no support on the internet I founded this website
as a resource for news, assistance, opinions, and stories from
others in a hope that it can be a place that injured victims can
call 'home'; on the world wide web that is.
Its
also a hard look at the Federal Victims Compensation Fund. Since it
was launched it has been my opinion that it excluded too many people
by setting parameters that excluded so many and I have been vocal
both here and in the media about this.
It
is my hope and vision that 9/11 Injured stands on the web for a long
time as a memorial to all those that suffered in a different way by
the hands of terrorist that shook our world, our lives and our
beliefs.
